We sure can! In most cases, the data is still there and often times recoverable. If there is an issue with something else besides the hard drive, then your data should be completely recoverable – if it is a hard drive issue then there are no guarantees.
We recommend that you don’t make any changes to your device, and bring it into us as soon as possible as to prevent further data loss.
Once we recover your files, we can put them onto an external hard drive or thumb drive of your choice. If you don’t have either of those, we can provide on at cost. We do not keep backups of your personal files for your privacy – so make sure to backup your files again once we’ve recovered them.
If it is an issue other than the hard drive, we can repair your computer and your files will be just fine.
In almost all cases, any program prompting payment – especially when you start your computer – is a virus or malware. Do not pay, as in most cases this won’t make the virus or malware go away.
